It is science week this week and we used our observation skills to see if skittles can make a rainbow when mixed with water. We watched the food colouring run, drip and float. The skittles were colourful and sticky. We really enjoyed investigating, exploring, predicting and experimenting! 

Class 3 had a fantastic day today at Walsall Art Gallery. We made pottery, sculpted models out of plasticine and looked and talked about a variety of different pieces of art. 
 

Today in English/history we have learning about Guy Fakes and the Gunpowder Plot. We writes wanted posters for Guy Fawkes and then we did some Bonfire Night art.

This week we have had the chance to show the skills that we have mastered in our 2-point perspective art unit. The children were very creative and I am so impressed with the work that they produced.

We love mark making in different materials and using different tools. This gives us the skills we need to become amazing handwriters! 

We have loved pretending to be firefighters today! We have used our imaginations to put out blazes and stop fires! 

To celebrate Diwali festival, we made Rangoli patterns from natural resources we found around school.

We designed our own Mehndi patterns for the celebration of Diwali! We have listened to the story of Rama and Sita, created diya lamps and rangoli patterns. We have enjoyed learning about our friends celebrations at home too.

We used natural materials to create a Gruffalo! He has knobbly knees and turned out toes! His eyes are orange and his tongue is black! We worked as a team to place the materials together to build the Gruffalo! We thought it would be a good idea to create a poster to warn people about the Gruffalo…

Today we have been reading and joining in with the Gruffalo story! We have role played the story and written some initial sounds for the characters in the story.
