Making Inferences
In English we have been basing our writing around the story Grandad’s Island by Benji Davies. Today we worked in groups and made inferences about the story. It created some thought provoking discussion and the children came up with some lovely ideas about the true meaning of the story.
Greenpower Update
This week we have been making the final adjustments to our body work and have been working with Dr Allen on our ‘Driver Training’’ module. We are nearly ready for the race day and are very excited to share the cars that we have made with to you.

Symmetrical butterflies!
We created symmetrical butterflies using paint, circle shaped sponges and pressed the paper down in half to print a symmetrical pattern! We subitised the spots along the way!
Litter Pickers
Today Class 2 have been working hard litter picking around the village.
Bathing Ralph!
Today Ralph came to visit us and we all got to work as a team to give him a relaxing bath. We were very gentle and learned more about caring for a dog as we bathed him. Ralph shook off the water on his coat and soaked us!
The Tiger that Came to Tea!
We decorated our own tiger biscuits for our tiger tea party! We used our fine motor skills to squeeze the icing pen and spread the orange icing. We hope the greedy tiger doesn't gobble, munch and scoff them!
Grouping and Sharing
In maths this week we have been looking at division. Today we were sharing objects into equal groups and writing number sentences to match.
Computing
This week we have been exploring the micro:bits. We have been able to create simple code that have given different outputs on the LED screen.
A new run
The Guinea pigs and rabbits have loved their new run this week. Lots of space for them to run around and enjoy being at St Mary’s.
