Chocolate Science and Gardening
We have had a fun first week back.
We explored the inside of different chocolate bars to see properties of rocks they reminded us of, and use role play to help us learn about the properties of rocks.
We also spent some time in the sunshine weeding our vegetable beds in the school…
Congratulations Harriet
Congratulations Harriet on winning our community art competition. You flew like an eagle.
Red Nose Day Baking
We have had fun this week, tasting the Red Nose Day baking from other classes and making our own Chocolate Brownies.
Individual liberty
Today’s PSHE was all about individual liberty. The discussion we had was amazing. Why not take a look with your parents Class 3.
Oil Pastel Seascapes
We have used the oil pastel techniques that we have learned and practised this half term to produce some fantastic seascapes in our Art Books.
We hope you like them as much as we do.
Information texts
We are all proud of our Roman Soldier information texts and wanted to share them.
Homemade instuments
We have made our own instruments and this week investigates how we can vary the pitch of the sound from our instruments.
It was a noisy classroom for a while but we all were able to identify the part of our instrument that was vibrating to make the sound, as well as making different pitch…
Making musical instruments
This week in Science we made our own homemade instruments, we are going to use these next week to discuss the pitch of different sounds.
Some great teamwork and evaluation in todays lesson. Well done Class 3!
Oil pastel clouds
We have had another fantastic art lesson with our oil pastels this week.
We used cloud templates and the smudging technique to produce these beautiful, colourful cloud pictures.
Once we were finished we took the time to walk around he room and enjoy each other’s artwork.
