In maths today our Year 2 children are counting money using pounds and pence. Here they are finding a number of different ways to make the same amount. 

We have had another fantastic art lesson with our oil pastels this week. 
 

We used cloud templates and the smudging technique to produce these beautiful, colourful cloud pictures. 
 

Once we were finished we took the time to walk around he room and enjoy each other’s artwork.

Well played this week boys in your first football match in Class 3. Some fantastic football and a great attitude by all. 

Our Class 3 team made their school debuts today. We narrowly lost to Etching Hill in a brilliant game full of passion, commitment and some fantastic goals. Well done boys! 

This week we have continued to create bird feeders ready for the Big Garden Bird Watch at the end of the month. We have also helped to move deadwood from around the school field and placed it on our Forest school log pile which is helping to attract more wildlife to our site. Class One…

We used different colour blocking techniques with oil pastels to complete the other half of the seascapes.

This week we have been learning all about penguins. We finished off the week by drawing some Emperor Penguins. We hope you like them!

In PE today Class 2 have been learning about their bones. They worked as a team to make a skeleton. 

This week we have focussed on 5e spoken word in English. We wrote dialogue between our beasts and our heroes and them performed them in small groups and to the rest of the class. The photos do not do the children justice - the body language and intonation were all fantastic, as were the words…

The children are working in pairs to retrieve information from a piece of text taken from the story ‘Man on the Moon’. 

In maths Year 1 are using the tens frames to answers one more and one one less word problems.
