Outdoor Learning
On Thursday Class 2 invited their friends from Richard Crosse over for an outdoor learning day. We made potions, created leaf art, did rubbings in the churchyard and we even went to the park! We stayed outside all day even for lunch!

In English we are basing our writing on ‘Vlad and The Great Fire of London’ by Kate Cunningham. Today we have been learning to put the ed suffix into our sentences. Year 1 did some fantastic
Long and short!
We used play dough to make long and short beanstalks and to help s learn more about length. We made our beanstalks longer and short, use vocabulary or length and compared length. Lots of super maths learning through our play!

Viking Dig Time….
We are having a great time at the Viking DIG site. We have found so many interesting artefacts.
Walking into York…..
We have had a lovely walk into York. We are now at our DIG Tour where we are having a go at being Archeologists.

Number Bonds to 20
In maths today Year 1 have been using the ten frames to find number bonds to 20. We used our prior knowledge of number bonds to 10 to help us.
