Marvellous Maths
In maths today we have been activating our prior knowledge in Place Value to 20. We ordered numbers to 20, partitioned teen numbers into tens and ones, found one more one less and used the < > = symbols to show numbers which are greater than, less than and equal to.
Sketching 2
Today we sketched some natural items we found in our school grounds. We used a variety of techniques we have learnt this half term including hatching, cross hatching, stippling and shading.
Talking about and sorting the happy and sad parts of the Easter story!
We read the Easter story, discussed the events together and talked about how we felt and how Jesus may have felt at the time. We sorted the vents into happy and sad parts of the story. We extended our vocabulary by using words such as; devastated, heart broken, surprised, delighted and…
Our Easter garden!
The children worked together to create an Easter garden to retell the Events of Holy Week. Amazing teamwork and creativity!
Subitising!
Reception are super subitisers! We look at amounts, say what we see and talk about the part whole confidently!
World Book Day Poetry….
In Class 4 we have focussed on poetry for World Book Day. We have produced some wonderful imagery poetry all about habitats across the globe.

World Book Day
Class 2 had a fantastic time today. We learnt and performed poems and wrote our own version of London’s burning.
A Special Visitor……
We had a lovely afternoon with Mr Dudley learning a song that he wrote for our art competition last year. It was all about “learning to fly like an eagle.” We are looking forward to sharing it with you at the Easter Service.
