GreenPower (Week 6) Driver Training
This week in GreenPower we have been learning to push start and drive the cars. We had a great time and cannot wait for Raceday!
English and IT
In English we are going to be writing fact files and non chronological reports about penguins. Today we combined our IT and English lesson into one and used the chrome books as well as other sources to research information about penguins.
Musical Instruments - Graphic Scores
In music today we used the percussion instruments to compos a graphic notation for one of the stories we have covered this year ‘Katie in London’.
Warm up to Multiplication
In maths today Year 1 have been sorting and matching their wellies into pairs. We then practiced counting up in twos. We also used and hands and fingers to help us count up in fives and tens. We worked out that we had 150 fingers altogether!

Today in English Class 2 have been independently retelling the story of Grandad’s Island by Benji Davies.
Earth Day at the National Memorial Arboretum
We had a fantastic time at the Arboretum for Earth Day. We learnt about plastic pollution, upcycling and biodiversity. The staff at the Arboretum were so impressed with Class 3’s beautiful manners and exceptional behaviour and attitude! Well done Class 3!
Skeletons
In science we have been learning about the human skeleton. This week, we learnt about the different bones in our hands. Next week, we are going to make bionic hands so watch this space!
Great Fire of London Day
Class 2 had a fantastic day at Richard Crosse for Great Fire of London Day. We watched a fantastic performance, made our own houses out of boxes and set them on fire! Then we did quizzes and games on the laptops. It was lovely to spend the day with our friends from across the…
Music Time
In music today we have been learning about graphic notation. We used this method of composing to create a piece linked to our story Grandads Island. We composed our pieces in pairs and enjoyed practising and performing them to the class.
Maths on Wednesday
In maths today the Year 6 children have looked at problems involving factions and decimals.
Maths on Tuesday
Today we have been looking at answering money problems in maths. Year 6 were able to calculate multi-step problems using decimals and use the inverse operation to check their answers.
Excellent effort once again. Well done Class 4!
Creating hens using shapes!
We used our cutting skills to cut out the shapes and assemble them into a hen!
