Science - Weather

In our science lessons, this week and next, we will be looking at seasons and weather.

Our mindful walk!
We went on a mindful walk this afternoon! We used our senses to listen to the birds, smell the flowers and feel lots of the things around us. We took part in some calm, relaxing techniques. We did 'rainbow breathing' together in the church garden and listened to a story.
Gardening this afternoon
We managed to get some gardening done this afternoon in between the showers! Look out for the new plants in class 2’s outdoor area.
Super throwing!
Today we were learning to throw and sprint. We finished with a game of ‘hit the teacher’. Well done to Charlotte who managed it.
Cooking outdoors
This weeks Mental Health Awareness week has a focus of getting outdoors and appreciating nature so this afternoon we had forest school, gardening and even cooked outside for DT. We have been looking at the banana trade in Geography this week so we decided to cook delicious banana bread.

Today we enjoyed making lemonade in the water tray today! We squeezed, squashed and poured! We loved the smell of the lemons and this was a great activity for our fine motor skills.
