Having a great time at the Labyrinth
We have loved finding out about King Arthur.
Making a pound
In maths today we have been using the concrete resources to see how many different ways we can make £1. We learnt that £1 is the same value as 100p.
Drawing festival maps!
We create our own festival maps for our own festivals! We had facepainting stations, roller coasters, pools, tombolas and more!
Class ones summer festival!
We read Molly’s first festival and had our own festival! It was so much fun! We created friendship bracelets, floral wrist bands and lavender bags. We dances, relaxed, played with bubbles, painted our face, the mud kitchen and build using the construction resources.
Junk Modelling
In art, we have been learning about sculpture. We learnt about two environmentalist artists called Judith and Richard Lang who create sculptures from plastic they find on a beach in California. We used as many recycled materials as possible to create our sculptures inspired by Judith and Richard…
Practicing our oracy skills in the travel agents!
We have been using our super speaking, listening and communication skills in the travel agents. We have booked cruises, exotic holidays, flights and we will visit some super destinations!
Cooling down in the heat!
We have been cooling off with a paddle in the tuff tray!
Building with ice!
We explored building with ice. It was slippy and drippy. It melted very quickly in the hot sun. We turned the pool of water into a pool for a polar bear. Super creativity!
Look at our writing!
We love to write in class one! Nursery are becoming super drawers and are starting to hear, say and write initial sounds. Reception are becoming much more confident at writing independent sentences using their sounds to spell.
Money Money Money
In maths today we have been learning to recognise coins and notes and understand that they all have a different value.
