Anglo-Saxon baking
Today we have been learning about the diet of the Anglo-Saxons. We learnt that they hunted for and grew their own food. We also learnt that sugar cane had not yet reached Europe, so they used honey and dried fruit to sweeten their food. We made honey shortbread - it was delicious!
Visit from Reverend Neale

Dodgeball Tournament
We had a fantastic time taking part in our TSSMAT dodgeball tournement today. We all tried our hardest and worked brilliantly with our teams. Thank you to Mr Challinor for organising the event - we can't wait for the next one!

We are journalists!
In English, we have been learning about the key features of journalistic writing. We did lots of research on the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 and then used our knowledge of journalistic writing to write our own newspaper reports. We are so pleased with how they turned out!
Christmas Carol Service
What a fantastic carol service! We really enjoyed singing all of the songs and sharing our knowledge of WWI and the Christmas truce with you.

In History this week, we have learnt about a WWI officer called Walter Tull. We used historical sources to deduce information about his early life and to find out about his involvement in World War I.

In science, we are learning about forces. Today, we used force meters to measure how much force must be applied in order to move an object.
