Tangrams
As part of our Lunar New Year celebrations, we made tangrams in maths. They were a lot trickier than they look but we enjoyed the challenge!
Lines of symmetry
In maths today we have been looking at vertical lines of symmetry. Today we painted half of a butterfly and folded it over to support our understanding of what the symmetrical means.
Sound Investigation
We had great fun making and using string telephones in science this week. We learnt about how sound travels and about how sound is measured (decibels).
Animation Workshop
We had an amazing time with Leo Wright today. We learnt lots about the process of making stop-motion films and enjoyed watching Leo’s animations.

Children in Need
We have had so much fun completing our sponsored bounce for Children in Need!
Remembrance Day
Today we visited the cenotaph in the village. We looked carefully at the words engraved on the memorial and shared our thoughts about what they meant. We also performed the poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae to the rest of the school.
Light-up pictures
In DT, we have made light-up canvases. We learnt how to make circuits with switches, use LEDs and also did lots of problem solving if our circuits did not light up.

Egyptian Day
We had a brilliant day at Anson for our Egyptian day. We learnt lots of new facts and enjoyed some hands-on learning experiences.
