Volcanoes
In geography, we have been learning about mountains and volcanoes. This week, we have learnt about the features of volcanoes and sketched pictures to show our understanding.
Hanukkah
In RE, we have been learning about festivals of light. This week, we explored Hanukkah. As part of our lesson, we made dreidels and played the dreidel game, which is a popular game for Jewish children to play during Hanukkah.
Diwali
To celebrate Diwali festival, we made Rangoli patterns from natural resources we found around school.
Walter Tull
In history, we have been looking at a range of sources to find out about a World War 1 soldier called Walter Tull. We found out that he was the first black officer in the British army. We also found out that he was one of the first black professional footballers in Britain.
Charcoal
This week, we have been exploring charcoal. We have been experimenting with different techniques to create light and shadow.

In art, we have been learning about sculpture. We learnt about two environmentalist artists called Judith and Richard Lang who create sculptures from plastic they find on a beach in California.
