Good Morning Class 3,

I hope your week is going well! It looks like the weather is becoming brighter again which means we can get lots of fresh air again!

Below is your work for the next couple of days. Friday is a bank holiday as it is VE day so there will be no work set that day.

Don't forget to start your day with something active - this could be Joe Wicks at 9am or some yoga.

Please remember 2 hours a day is plenty of work.

English

I'd like to focus on grammar this week and using our English skills correctly.

Today I would like you to look at Fronted Adverbials. Below are a mix of useful resources to support your learning. You will find a powerpoint explaining what a fronted adverbial is, word mats and various activity sheets. I am not expecting you to complete every single activity but there is a mix you can choose from there. I would, however, like everyone to have a go at a couple of the 'Fronted Adverbial writing challenge cards'. These can be done in your exercise books or you could type them up.

Each activity has instructions for you to follow but if you are struggling please let me know and I can point you in the right direction!

Reading

Please complete the comprehension activity below. There is a sheet to read then questions to answer. Please pick a level (at the bottom of the page you will see a number of stars - the levels get more difficult with the number of stars). Year 4s should pick either 2 star or 3 star.

Reading Comprehension

Make sure you are also reading books you have at home and get your parents to ask you questions about what you have read.

Using the information you learnt about food chains on Monday, please complete the above 3 activities. These are 'food chain challenges' about specific environments. After you have completed those activities, I would like you to produce a poster about one of these food chains.

The Girls are currently winning the timestable rockstars battle! Boys there are more of you! Can you play lots to end up winning by the end of the week?

As it is VE Day on Friday there will be no work set. Below are some activities you could complete if you choose to.

VE Day

Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend.

Don't forget to send me photos of anything you get up to.
