Visitor in History
Today we had a special visitor in Class 2 who told us all about the history of Colton. Thank you to the Colton History Society for this experience.
Village Walk
Today Year 2 went on a walk around Colton to have a look at some of the buildings we have learnt about in our history topic.
Kings Bromley Show artwork
We have been working hard on our artwork for the Kings Bromley Show. We used potatoes cut into different shapes to print the caterpillar and his food. We hope you like them!

Number Lines in the sunshine
In maths this week Year 1 are looking at Place Value with 100. Today we made our own number lines and used them to count forwards and backwards.
Reception Transition
Reception enjoyed coming into Class 2 for some more transition time today. We did a maths lesson where we built numbers on the tens frame and counted objects within 10. We then had a go at recording our answers.
Butterflies
Today we released our butterflies in the school vegetable garden.
They were reluctant to leave us and one even stopped for a rest before it flew off to the bushes.
A taste of Italy
This week we have continued our persuasive writing about Sicily.
