Class 2

In English today the children are planning a diary entry using time conjunctions. We are basing our writing on the book ‘Man on the Moon’ by Simon Bartram - A day in the life of Bob. Here our Year 1 children are doing some fantastic independent writing. 

In maths today our Year 2 children have been using manipulatives to make equal groups. They also had a go at writing the multiplication sentence to match. 

Our Year 1 children are independently retelling the story ‘The Way Back Home’ by Oliver Jeffers. They are producing some fantastic work! 

In PE today Class 2 are working in teams to sort healthy and unhealthy foods. 

In history we have been learning about ‘The Moon Landing’. Today we created time lines to show the history of space travel. 

Today in maths Year 2 are using the part whole model to help them find the total value of the coins. 

In maths today our Year 2 children are counting money using pounds and pence. Here they are finding a number of different ways to make the same amount. 

In PE today Class 2 have been learning about their bones. They worked as a team to make a skeleton. 

The children are working in pairs to retrieve information from a piece of text taken from the story ‘Man on the Moon’. 

In maths Year 1 are using the tens frames to answers one more and one one less word problems.
