Hello Class 3.

I can't believe this is our last week together! Some of you might be looking forward to coming and meeting your new teacher on Thursday and Friday and I'll be looking forward to saying hello to those of you who do come in. It feels very strange to think I won't be teaching you all next year!

This is our last week of home learning and I am sure you're all looking forward to things getting back to normal!

Here's your work for the next couple of days and a message from Mr Wynn

Dear children and parents,

Well here we are. The final week of what has been the most eventful term we will ever have! I am writing to say thank you. Thank you to you wonderful children for all your hard work, your photos you have sent in and your effort at home. Thank you also to the parents who have contributed so much and allowed our little school to come out of this time of crisis. I cannot wait to have you all back in school in September. We will all remember this time for the rest of our lives and can all hold our heads high! Well done St Mary's.

With transition week this week we will hopefully see most of you but it would be great to have one last catch up with those at home. Please join us for a Google Meet on Monday at 10:30 am. It would be great for you to bring along your best piece of work to show or a memory from your time at home. The code for the meeting is; meet.google.com/qtn-oxmw-hwo

just copy and paste it into your internet search bar.

Kind regards

Mr Wynn

English

Last week you showed off your skills by writing a story based on one of the pictures and a non-fiction piece of writing about something of your choice.

Today, I would like you to write and illustrate a poem. You can use the pattern of a poem you know or make one up yourself. I would like you to write this poem about coming back to school. You might be feeling nervous or excited - writing is a really good way of expressing your feelings! Don't forget to write, edit and improve then publish your work!

I'd love to see some of the work you have completed - don't forget to send it to me or share it with me on Google Drive.

Reading

You might have a bit more Harry Potter to listen to. Have you been enjoying it? We have in school!

Over the summer it would be great if you could read as many books as you can! Who thinks they can read 6 books over the 6 weeks? That's one book each week!

https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/ - Use this website to help you keep track, play different games and get rewards for reading!

Topic This half term in PSHE we would have been doing SRE - Parents should receive an email about teaching this at home with planning and resources to use at home. If there are any questions at all or you need any support please don't hesitate to contact me on m.lambert@tssmat.staffs.sch.uk
