Monday 20th April 2020

Hi Class 4,

We hope you are all well and have had a fantastic Easter. Whilst it has been strange it has been nice spending time with our families in this warm weather. I have started trying to get fit by running with my son (see photo) - I don't know how long it will last but we are enjoying ourselves at the moment.  We hope you have all had a good break from school work and are raring to go for today. We don't know how long this will be going on for so please keep making an effort with your work, being good for your parents and enjoying yourselves. It would be great to hear from you all on a weekly basis so please email and/or send in some photos for our gallery.

Weekly topic

Science

Our Science topic this term is Light. For your first lesson I have set up an experiment for you to try on Google Classroom. I know some of you may struggle to get on this but give it a go. As long as you can access the internet and Google you should be able to sign in easy enough. Remember your logins are as follows and you need capital letters for names:

JoeBloggs@tssmat.staffs.sch.uk

Password = Violet20

Click on the 9 dots in the top right corner of the google web page and enter your Drive. You will then be in your GSuite and should find the classwork there.

You should then be able to access, edit and then submit your work for me to look at.

Reading this week

Try to listen to Episode 6 of Oliver Twist.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/english-ks2-oliver-twist-episode-6/zbp78xs

Write diary entries for Rose and Harry, describing their feelings about the conversation that they have. I have put a template on Google Classrooms for you to use so I can see your work.

* Don't forget that there are a number of Education City activities and games available to support your work this week. Please login and find them in your 'My City'. They will be linked to the topics we have chosen so will help you with your work. We will update these every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for you.

Hope that you are all keeping well and staying safe.
