We have had lots of fun this afternoon creating our outdoor artwork inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.

With the sun and rain this week it’s been perfect growing conditions. Year 5 have their peas and sprouts in the ground and year 6 have some lovely produce growing in the polytunnel. 
 

In our new RE unit, we have been learning all about what happens in a church. We went to visit our school church and drew some amazing pictures. We hope you like them!

We have had a fun first week back.

We explored the inside of different chocolate bars to see properties of rocks they reminded us of, and use role play to help us learn about the properties of rocks.

Today in DT we have been looking at vehicles. We investigated how axels and chassis and had a go at making our own versions using different methods. 
 

Class 2 had a fantastic day at the Space Centre. We learnt lots more about space travel and our solar system. We particularly loved the planetarium as we felt like we were travelling through space!

Congratulations Harriet on winning our community art competition. You flew like an eagle. 

This week we finished our RE unit by making our own Easter Gardens. We worked in small teams to gather the resources we needed and worked collaboratively to design and make our gardens. We did such a great job!

Class 4 did an excellent job of finishing off their collage, spring themed letters for their French pen friends. They wrote some amazing sentences about their family members and used adjectives to describe them too. I will be posting their letters off to France over the next few days. Have a…
