Christmas Dinner and Santa!
We want to send a huge thank you to Alex and Kay for cooking us the most delicious Christmas Dinner today! We sat with children from different classes and shared Christmas Crackers with them, before tucking into our food.
When we'd eaten our fill, we sang the 12 Days of Christmas, then rang…
Christmas loose parts play!
We have enjoyed making patterns and arrangements with the Christmas loose parts!
Decorating our tree!
We have enjoyed decorating our class for Christmas!
Our diya lamps!
We have been learning about Diwali and we created diya lamps! They bring light and hope!
Snow much fun!
Lots of us had fun playing in the snow and building snowmen today!
Remembrance
We created poppy lanterns and artwork to remember those who have helped and continue to help keep us safe. We have had some brilliant artefacts from home brought into school to share with us too!
Kandinsky style art work!
We have been creating Kandinsky style artwork using circles and triangles!
Mini scientists
We've done lots of science this term - we have placed pumpkins (both whole and halved) inside and outside and hypothesised which would rot first, we have made nests for hibernating hot water bottles and measured which ones stayed warmer for longer, and most recently, we have gotten the colour out…
Bread!
After looking at wheat and all the wonderful things it can produce, we have made our own loaf from flour!
We each had a turn at pouring the water, mixing the batter into a dough, and then kneading it. Afterwards, we tasted it! I was very pleased that everybody tried some.
Art outside in the autumn sun!
We have been using pastel to draw pumpkin patches on our art books!
Pumpkin hammering!
Today we have hammering gold tees into pumpkins. We did this very safely and it’s great for our fine motor skills!
