Image of Evaporation

Last week we completed another experiment in science. Looking at evaporation, we first drew a chalk outline on the infamous puddle outside (some of you may have seen it) to see how it would change over the week.

Next, we dunked towels in water and placed them around the room to see which environment would be best for evaporation. We found that out of the window, the radiator, the table and a cupboard, the radiator dried the towels the fastest due to the heat it gives off.

After discussing if this was a fair experiment, we concluded that next time, we could pour a measured amount of liquid on the towels to make sure they were all equally wet.
