Half way through the week already! Time is going by so quickly at the moment!

I'm impressed by how many of you have got onto Google Classroom - if anyone needs helping logging on just let me know (I'm still getting my head around it too! So don't worry if you are struggling). I've seen some fantastic art work this week and was super impressed with the Maths work Lawrence has done!

Here's some work for the next couple of days.

Start the day with something active like Joe Wicks at 9am! Or have a look at this website Mr Challinor has recommended and go into KS2 to find activities: https://mailchi.mp/3379a8a38383/draft-of-school-games-newsletter-2782605

Please remember 2 hours a day is plenty of work.

Reading

Watch the video https://www.literacyshed.com/takingflight.html

Please complete page 3 of the booklet on Google Classroom.

You will need to improve the words in the first table - this could be turning them into an expanded noun phrase (use the video to give you ideas for this) then find synonyms (different words that mean the same) for the adjectives in the second table. Whilst doing this you should think about how these words link to the video 'Taking Flight'. Make sure you choose adjectives that make sense.

You can watch the video more than once if it will help!

Topic

Today's Art challenge - Where in the world would you rather be?

I would like you to paint somewhere in the world you would rather be. If I could go anywhere right now I think I would go to Croyde in Devon where my family has been on holiday since I was born! It's got a beautiful beach and amazing ice cream and pasty shop! Think about where you would like to be and paint it! It can be anywhere at all! Just be imaginative with how you show your place.

Have fun and remember you can send me a photo of what you paint!

Need something extra?

Whilst in lockdown it's easy to end up eating lots of junk if you have it in your house! I think I've eaten far too many sweets recently! So let's try and be healthy - https://getseteatfresh.co.uk/ - This website has lots of good, practical ideas to help you be healthy. There's some fab recipes on there you could try!
