Kindness week in class one!

Rememberance in Class 3

Remembrance Day in class one.
Today we have made our own poppies, have taken part in a Remembrance Day assembly and learnt more about our family history. We talked about service and looked closely at the artefacts.

Column method in maths
Today year 2 have been learning to subtraction with exchanging in maths and tomorrow we will learn to exchange using the column method. Any practise you can do at home would be brilliant! It’s such a difficult concept to learn so the more practise the better.

Poppy biscuit baking
Today we baked biscuits in the shape of poppies. Tomorrow morning we will ice them and then eat them at lunch time. We will think about all of the soldiers who fought and helped others while we eat the biscuits tomorrow.
