Salvation
In RE we have been learning all about Salvation. We have learnt about the events of Holy Week including Palm Sunday, Good Friday (The Crucifixion) and Easter Sunday (The Resurrection). Today we got creative and produced some beautiful Easter pictures.
Red Nose Day
Today in Class 2 we made rice crispy cakes to raise money for Red Nose Day.
Measuring in centimetres
Today in maths we have been measuring objects in centimetres in our outdoor area.
Rock Steady
The children enjoyed making rock music this morning with Aaron from Rock Steady.
World Book Day
The children in Class 2 had great fun today dressing up for World Book Day.
Add two 2-digit numbers (across a 10)
Today in maths Year 2 have been adding two 2 digit numbers using the concrete resources. They have been exchanging 10 ones for one ten.
The Easter Story - RE
Today in RE the children made a bridge to represent Jesus as the bridge between God and humanity.
Lines of Symmetry
In maths today we have been learning about vertical lines of symmetry. We painted half of a butterfly and folded it over to create a symmetrical picture.
Marshmallow Maths
In maths we have been learning about 2D shapes and their properties. Today we made shapes out of skewers and marshmallows to show how many sides and how many vertices.
London
In geography this half term we are learning about London and The United Kingdom. Today we found the UK on the globe and learnt about London’s Landmarks.
Perfect Pizzas
Class 2 had great fun today making their pizzas in Design and Technology.
Following Instructions
In English today we followed a set instructions and decorated a biscuit.
