RE - Forgiveness
In RE today we talked about forgiveness. We explored how we felt before and after we had been forgiven.
Teen Numbers
We have been using our outdoor area today to practice recognising and writing our teen numbers.
Tens and Ones
Today in maths we have been partitioning teen numbers into tens and ones.
Mud Pies
In Class 2 today the children have been enjoying our outdoor provision. They made some fantastic mud pies!
Carp Kites
Today in Design and Technology we are making Carp Kites. We learnt that these are made in Japan to celebrate Children's Day and are a symbol of strength and courage.
Penguin Facts
In Geography we have been learning about hot and cold countries and the polar regions.
in English today we have been using the chrome books to research information about penguins in view to writing a fact file.
Painting the sky
In art today we completed our final piece and painted the sky. We mixed primary colours and added tints and shades.
Trip to the Zoo
Class 2 had a fantastic time at the zoo. We saw a variety of different animals, our favourite was the monkeys.
Story Time in Class 2
One of our Year 2 children read ‘The Ugly Five’ by Julia Donaldson beautifully to the class.
Making Inferences
In English we have been basing our writing around the story Grandad’s Island by Benji Davies. Today we worked in groups and made inferences about the story. It created some thought provoking discussion and the children came up with some lovely ideas about the true meaning of the story.
Litter Pickers
Today Class 2 have been working hard litter picking around the village.
