Class 1 Home Learning Timetable Thursday 14th January

Good morning class one,

Your polar bear artwork was amazing yesterday! You have also been working hard on developing your maths, reading and writing skills.

Remember to send photos and videos using class dojo portfolio and Google classroom so that we can see how your learning has been going.

I am here to help so please let me know if you need anything.

Input 1: 9:30am

Mrs Coleman- Harris will lead this topic session for all of Reception and Nursery together.

Today we are going to be using our creativity, imagination and music skills to create our own winter songs. Join me at 9:30am and I will teach you a winter song to a tune that you already know. Then you can work on your own winter song! You might like to change a song that you already know or you can make up your own. Can you create some actions to accompany your song? Maybe you have some instruments that you would like to use to create a tune for your song. Can you perform your song, film it and send it over to me. Have fun getting creative!

Remember to take some photos or a video of your learning and send it to us on Google classroom or dojo portfolio.

Please log on by copying this link into your browser.

Maths

Reception:

You will be working with Mrs Coleman-Harris. Today we will be learning how to subitise using a dice. We will learn to recognise the amounts on a dice quickly. We will play a game to help us! You will need some paper, a writing pencil and some colourful pencils.

Maybe you would like to play the game with a grown up afterwards and see who can draw the snowman the quickest!

Reception would you like some extra maths learning?

You can also work through the White Rose Maths home learning resources across the week here. You might like to work on one video a day. These mini video lessons support and help the Reception children to develop all of the maths we have been learning in class. Please follow what we are learning in the online sessions and the sessions on the white rose maths page for reception. These sessions are building on the children's previous learning and helping them to develop a deeper understanding of maths. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/alive-in-5-week-1/

Please use the following link for out 1:30pm maths session.
